Originally in the wood business, the Vy Family decided to support the country's drive toward self-sufficiency by supplying the needs of the manufacturing sector forchemical raw materials. On March 1962, SOUTH PACIFIC CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, INC. was organized to supply these much needed chemicals.
After only five years, South Pacific constructed in 1969 a 500 metric ton manufacturing plant at No. 031 A. Bonifacion Avenue, Cainta Rizal. Operating on a 24-hours basis. To date, the manufacturing plant has made considerable upgrades in quality and production.
